Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Tokkun: Japanese Drills (“Tokkun,” “the app”) is provided by Nixlight (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

2. Information stored on your device

The app stores the following information locally so its features can work:

• practice plans and their settings;
• card review state, schedules, ratings, favorites, mistakes, and mastered status;
• practice totals, durations, and progress history;
• language, theme, premium status, and free-credit balance.

We do not operate a Tokkun account service and do not receive this local learning history. Deleting the app may delete this data unless your device platform preserves or backs it up as part of its own services.

3. Purchases and premium access

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Tokkun uses RevenueCat to verify purchases and restore Lifetime Premium. These services may process transaction identifiers, product and entitlement information, app version, device or platform information, and a pseudonymous app-user identifier. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and your store account settings.

4. Rewarded advertising

Free users may choose to watch rewarded ads supplied by Google AdMob to earn practice credits. AdMob may process information such as IP address, device and advertising identifiers, general location derived from network data, ad interactions, diagnostics, and consent choices. The exact processing depends on your region, device settings, and Google’s policies.

Watching a rewarded ad is optional. Lifetime Premium removes the credit and rewarded-ad entry points from the app.

5. Audio, speech, and permissions

Tokkun can play bundled Japanese pronunciation audio and may use your device’s text-to-speech service for Japanese words. Tokkun does not record your voice, evaluate your pronunciation, or request microphone access for its current practice features. A device or operating-system speech service may process text according to that provider’s settings and privacy policy.

6. Support and error reports

If you contact support or use “Found an error,” your email app opens a draft addressed to us. We receive only the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and the card identifier included in the draft. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, and correct content.

7. Website data

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process basic request and security information, including IP address, user agent, request time, and requested URL, to deliver and protect the site. We do not place marketing cookies or run behavioral analytics on this website.

8. Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers described above, when you direct us to do so, or when required to comply with law or protect users, rights, and security. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain records, and meet legal obligations.

9. Children’s privacy

Tokkun is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Your choices and rights

• You can avoid rewarded ads by not opening or completing them.
• You can change advertising and privacy choices in your device settings where available.
• You can delete local Tokkun data by deleting the app, subject to platform backup behavior.
• You may contact us to request access to or deletion of information you sent directly to support.

Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We may ask for information needed to verify and fulfill a request.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Tokkun or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the app, store listing, or this website when appropriate.
